1. Who we are
The site and services are operated by Optical Design S.R.L. ("the Provider", "we"), an independent graphic design studio based in Bucharest, Romania.

2. Definitions
- Client — the natural or legal person ordering the services.
- Consumer — a natural person acting outside their commercial activity (protected under Romanian consumer law, GEO 34/2014).
- Services — the graphic design services described on the Services page and in the custom quote.
- Deliverables — the resulting files and materials (logo, identity, layouts, print/digital files, etc.).
3. The services we offer
We offer graphic design services: visual identity and branding, print materials, merch & packaging, materials for HoReCa and events, digital design and social media. The characteristics of each package — number of concepts, included revision rounds and the estimated delivery time — are shown on the Services page or in the quote sent before the order.
4. Quote request and conclusion of the contract
The configurator on the site generates an indicative estimate, not a firm offer. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order in writing (email) after agreeing the final quote, scope of work (brief), price and timeline. Before work begins, you receive the pre-contractual information required by consumer law (characteristics, total price, payment methods, delivery time, right of withdrawal).
5. Prices, payment and advance
- Prices are expressed in EUR (or RON equivalent) and shown with a note on VAT. If the Provider is not VAT-registered, this is stated expressly.
- An advance may be required to start work (typically 30–50%), with the balance due on final delivery, per the confirmed quote.
- Invoices are issued under Romanian tax law. An advance invoice is issued for advances, reconciled at the end.
- On discounts, the reference price shown is the lowest applied in the previous 30 days (Omnibus Directive 2019/2161).
6. Timeline, delivery and revisions
Delivery times are estimates and start from receipt of the advance and the complete brief. Each package includes a number of revision rounds stated in the quote; additional rounds are charged separately. Final deliverables are sent electronically, organised by format.
7. Right of withdrawal and applicable exceptions ⚠️
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the distance contract within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason (GEO 34/2014, Directive 2011/83/EU).
Important exceptions for custom design services (GEO 34/2014, Art. 16):
- (c) — goods made to the client's specifications or clearly personalised (design produced to order);
- (a) — services fully performed, if performance began with the client's prior express consent and after acknowledging the loss of the right of withdrawal once the service is fully performed;
- (m) — digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, under the same conditions.
Therefore, when placing a custom design order, the client expressly confirms, by ticking, that they request work to begin before the 14 days expire and that they lose the right of withdrawal after the service is fully performed. Full details on the Returns & withdrawal page.
8. Intellectual property
The creative works are protected by Romanian copyright law (Law 8/1996). The economic rights over the final deliverables are transferred to the Client by written assignment, after full payment for the services. The assignment specifies the rights transferred, the extent, duration and territory.
- The moral rights of the author remain, by law, with the designer and cannot be assigned.
- Unselected concepts and working source files remain the Provider's, unless agreed otherwise.
- The Provider may present the work in its portfolio and for promotional purposes, unless the Client objects in writing.
- For clients outside Romania, a usage licence may be used instead of assignment, with governing law and jurisdiction set contractually (Rome I Regulation).
9. Client obligations
The Client provides the necessary materials (text, logos, images) in good time and warrants that they hold the rights to them. The Client is responsible for the content submitted for processing.
10. Liability
We use all due care for the quality of the deliverables. The Provider's liability is limited to the value of the contracted service. We are not liable for the subsequent use of the deliverables by the Client or third parties, or for delays caused by the late receipt of materials/feedback.
11. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (GDPR — Reg. EU 2016/679 and Law 190/2018) and use cookies per the Cookie Policy.
12. Dispute resolution — ANPC & ADR

Note: the former EU ODR platform has been closed (Reg. EU 2024/3228) and is no longer used.
13. Governing law
The contract is governed by Romanian law. Disputes not settled amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the courts at the Provider's registered office, subject to consumer rights.
14. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force at the date of the order applies. Significant changes are announced on the site.
